Sybothian Nation

The Sybothian people were an interesting creation. People on Earth started hybrid experimenting of human and animals, with interesting results. Many nations kept their experiments secret from the citizens. Many successful transhumans were created. Some transhumans did not look any different that any other human, and others did not look any different than the native animal they tried to breed into. Then there were the obvious mixtures, and unusual abilities of the new hybrids. Many of these people were experimented on by governments that treated them as animals.
When the news of the transhumans became public, most people were shocked to learn of these new people. Some people even thought of them as demons, to be hunted down. Very few Nations recognized them AS human. Many of the transhumans fled to the very few refuges for them on Earth.
When interstellar travel became possible, the most of transhumans were the first to leave Earth and become an interstellar race of humanoids.
